A true homage to Maurice Ravel on the bill on 5 February 2025, at 8.15 pm at the Pollini Auditorium in Padua, as part of the 68th Concert Season of the Friends of Music of Padua. The French pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet makes his debut in Padua by performing all of Ravel’s piano works, in chronological order, in a single concert with two intervals.

The event is dedicated to the great pianist Vlado Perlemuter, the memorable interpreter of Ravel’s music, who in 1985 performed the complete Raveliana in Padua in two memorable concerts, also organized then by the Friends of Music.

Bavouzet is considered a champion of French music, even the lesser-known, thanks to his award-winning recordings which include various complete works: in addition to Ravel’s piano works, that of Debussy, the piano sonatas of Beethoven and Haydn, the concerts for piano by Mozart and the complete Piano Concertos by Prokofiev and Bartók. His impeccable performances are characterized by great elegance and personality and always enjoy widespread success with the public.

Rehearsal opens at 10.30 am at the Pollini Auditorium. In the following days Bavouzet will hold masterclasses at the Pollini Conservatory.
