Sunday 27 APRIL, two special tours at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to discover the meaning of Pesach.
Accompanied by an expert guide, you will discover the meaning, rituals and traditions associated with Pesach, the Jewish Passover. A joyous feast commemorating the liberation of the Jews from slavery in Egypt.
The itinerary will begin at the Museum with an account of the rituals of the Seder, in Hebrew ‘order’, an evocative dinner during which the stages of the Exodus are re-enacted and discussed in a pre-established order.
During the experience it will be possible to taste some of the symbolic foods of this occasion:
MATZAH, unleavened bread, which recalls the hasty flight of the Jews from Egypt, who had no time to let the bread rise.
CHAROSETH, a sweet dough prepared with dried fruit, dates, apples, red wine or orange juice. Its texture and colour recall the mortar used by the Jews during slavery in the land of Egypt. The recipe changes from family to family, according to tradition.
Afterwards, the tour can be completed with a guided visit to the MUSEUM OF THE EBRAIC PADUA and the ITALIAN SYNAGOGUE.
