The association Fantalica APS, proposes a series of cultural meetings, events, and guided tours, with the aim of enhancing one of the most evocative areas of the city centre of Padua, the Portello district.
From 6 May to 4 July, the PORTELLO SEGRETO project will make the Portello district of Padua the protagonist, guiding the public on a fascinating journey through spirituality, popular traditions and rational knowledge, exploring that thin border where religion, beliefs and science have intertwined over the centuries, giving rise to comparisons, contaminations and sometimes epochal clashes.
The theme chosen for the tenth year “BETWEEN THE SACRED AND THE PROFANE”, around which meetings and visits to monuments will be developed, will offer the opportunity for a series of reflections and in-depth studies that will be interwoven with the history of the city of Padua. Particular attention will be paid to the inseparable intertwining of the city’s history, its spirituality and the ancient traditions, legends, myths and beliefs that have determined its evolution and in some cases even the drive towards new knowledge.
