As part of its programming dedicated to young listeners and their families, the Fondazione Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto announces the 14th edition of OPV Families&Kids. For the current year, the review will propose a new playbill with five new musical performances open to all and recommended for an audience between 4 and 12 years old, which will be held in Padua between the Teatro Verdi, the Centro Culturale Altinate S. Gaetano, the Sala dei Giganti, the Scuola della Carità and the Auditorium Pollini, while the summer events will take place in the Giardino Teatro of Palazzo Zuckermann.
Along with the music, the stars of the festival will be actor Andrea Pennacchi, who will perform for the first time Peter and the Wolf, Prokofiev’s symphonic tale that has become a great classic; and actor Matteo Fresch, who joins the OPV Families& Kids 2025 team for the Christmas performance of The Nutcracker, to the music of Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet with the participation of Spaziodanza Padova. With them, actors Rossana Mantese, Moreno Corà and Marco Ferraro will animate the performance-concert to music by Vivaldi, Bizet and Satie, on the centenary of one of the most eccentric and extravagant composers in history.
OPV Families&Kids is organised with the support of the Fondazione Cariparo, the Ministry of Culture, the patronage of the Municipality of Padua, and in collaboration with the Associazione Amici OPV, the Assessorato alla Cultura e alle Politiche Educative del Comune di Padova, the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, the Libreria Pel di Carota di Padova and the Libreria Musica di Vicenza. Also renewed are two important Media Partnerships at the national level with RAI Radio Kids and the Kid Pass network, the organisation that has been operating for ten years at the national level in the field of specialised information for families.
