From March 20 to 23, Padua’s Maddalene Theater is staging ‘Field of Dreams’ , a funny and surreal comedy that challenges the nightmare of real life.
John, known in the comic book world as Joe Black, is a very talented and experienced cartoonist. His life, however, has been turned upside down by an event that plunges him into an abyss so deep that he is forced to withdraw from the world, seeking refuge in the solitude of his home-studio, away from people and work commitments. The play comes to life in the darkness of the night, transforming his home into a theater of disturbing dreams. His daughter’s return from New Zealand marks a turning point. How will the relationship between father and daughter evolve in this moment of torment and discovery? T
he play draws the viewer into the protagonist’s dream world, to feel his anguish, but also to laugh at his bizarre encounters and reflect on the thin line between dreams and reality.
